Student Quotes

"The attention to detail and expertise exhibited by all the members of the South College staff certainly aligns them with the premier facilities we have used in the past."

The Campus

South College-Asheville is located at 140 Sweeten Creed Road in Asheville, North Carolina. The new building contains approximately 40,000 square feet of modern classrooms, laboratories and other conveniences for the use of students. Parking is available for students and staff.

The Information Resource Center (IRC) provides comfortable study areas for the student body and faculty. The general IRC collection includes more than 5,000 volumes including an extensive law library. Over 60 periodicals, including professional journals and newspapers, have been selected to support the college curriculum. General reference works, pamphlets, and audio and visual tapes are also available. To keep the collection current, outdated books are removed and new books added each year. The IRC’s conveniences include several computers that include access to WESTLAW, LIRN, and the Internet.

For student convenience and comfort, a student center containing a variety of vending machines and a microwave is available. Smoking is not allowed inside the building. A designated area outside of the building is provided for smokers. A college bookstore is available on campus where books and selected clothing may be purchased.

The courses at South College-Asheville are conducted in the day, afternoon, and evening hours, Monday through Saturday. Day classes normally begin at 8:30 a.m., evening classes at 6:00 p.m., and Friday/Saturday classes at 9:00 a.m. (unless otherwise specified by the college). Tutorials, make-ups, and laboratory assignments are normally completed in the afternoons and on Fridays/Saturdays. Students' schedules will vary according to their individual courses of study.
